About

St John Ambulance Cadets is the youth section of St John Gibraltar for older children and teens, and St John's own Get Involved page says cadets get first aid training alongside a wide choice of other activities. That gives this page a clearer identity than a generic youth-group listing: it is specifically about cadets, practical skills, and first-aid learning in Gibraltar.

What makes it stand out is that it sits inside a real working first-aid organisation rather than a themed club. St John Gibraltar provides event first aid, training courses, ambulances, and community support locally, so the cadet programme has a stronger connection to real-life volunteering and useful life-saving skills than most ordinary after-school activities.

For parents, the practical appeal is the mix of teamwork, confidence-building, and training that can carry on into later volunteering. St John Gibraltar also runs youth sections from Badgers upwards, so there is a clearer pathway here than with a one-off youth club that does not lead anywhere.
