About
Girlguiding in Gibraltar has a long history locally. The Girlguiding North West England overseas territories page says Guiding here began in 1914, was officially registered in 1925, and has been in continuous operation since then.
It also describes Girlguiding Gibraltar as a well-established youth organisation with more than 200 members across Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers, alongside leaders and unit helpers. That makes this feel like a proper local network rather than a single small unit.
A nice practical detail for parents is that Guiding in Gibraltar also has access to Rock Lodge on the Upper Rock. Public information from the Kusuma Trust says the lodge was refurbished to accommodate larger groups, is fully accessible, and is used for overnight stays and outdoor adventure activities, giving girls a chance to try trips away as part of the wider programme.
